Rose Laguna, 77 Temple, OK

Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Temple, OK on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple, OK with burial in the Temple Cemetery.

Rose Marie Laguna was born to Ascencion and Florinda (Rivera) Alvarado on October 12, 1946, in Owasso, MI and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on April 4, 2024, at the age of 77 years, 5 months, and 23 days.

Rose grew up in Indiana until the family moved to Temple, OK in 1959. She married Hilario “Larry” Laguna in July of 1965 and to the union 4 children were born. Rose worked at the Haggar slacks factory in Temple until its close and then for Judy Reece making shirts, as well as doing factory work in Duncan. In 2002 she went to work at Temple Manor Nursing Home doing housekeeping until her health declined in December of 2023.

She enjoyed cooking, dancing, going to the casino and Dollar General. She loved hanging with her family and was the life of the party. She enjoyed going to her grandkids sporting events and loved telling them ghost stories to get them to bed. She enjoyed attending church when able. She had just attended on Easter Sunday and enjoyed the family gathering afterwards.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Yolanda Gonzalez and Fred of Temple, Linda Adame and Camiro of San Antonio, TX; 2 sons, Hilario Laguna Jr. of Temple and Gilbert Laguna of Hastings, OK; 21 grandchildren, Cindy, Erica, Miriam, Gracie, Ashley, Troy, Talisha, Manuel, Veronica, Tony, Camelia, Eric, Leti, Jose, Lalo, Alicia, Marco, Alexis, Ailey, Matao and Madix; 23 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 greatgreat grandchild and 1 on the way; 5 sisters, 2 brothers, many nieces, nephews and friends.
