Risa Yvonne Trahan was born to Howard and Imogene Bell (Spannagel) Trahan on February 5, 1960 in Munich, Germany and departed this life in Oklahoma City on October 9, 2023 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 4 days.

Risa grew up at Walters, OK, through age 16 and then moved to Tecumseh, OK, graduating from THS in 1978. She has made her home mainly in the Lawton area, working for numerous non-profit organizations as an administrative assistant.

She received a Citation of Congratulations from the Oklahoma State Senate in 1991, was the 2nd inductee as an Honorary Band Member of the 77th Army Band, Fort Sill, OK in 2003 and graduated Leadership Lawton Class 18 in 2007.

Risa’s faith was an important part of her life and she was a member of Cameron Baptist Church in Lawton. She enjoyed Dallas Cowboy Football, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and loved playing the part of hostess for gatherings with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Imogene Trahan; 2 brothers, Kevin Von Trahan and Richard Trahan; and a sister, Gina Trahan.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Cortney Jalomo of Childress, TX and Rocki Novotny of Lawton, OK; her grandchildren, Avery Jalomo, Isaiah Jalomo, Emma Grace Jalomo, and Asher Jalomo all of Childress, Brenden Sherill, Greyson Noah Tunnell, and Jaxsen Novotny all of Lawton, OK; 3 brothers, Dennis and Mary Trahan of Tecumseh, OK, Brownie and Shirleen Trahan of Burkburnett, TX, Howard and Janet Trahan of Walters, OK; 2 sisters, Cindy Garner of Holliday, TX and Shawna Graham of Walters, OK; a special friend, Brenda Fay of Walters, OK; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
