God Can Use Even Me!

Is there any of y’all reading this that can say you’ve ever done something or maybe even a string of things that made you look and feel like an fool? It’s time to ‘fess up! Is there one person among y’all who has never made a mistake? Is there one person who can honestly say you have never been wrong? No, not one!

Anybody ever ridicule you or talk about you or maybe just flat out call you a fool or an idiot? Well, were they right? Did you think they were accurate in their assumption?

I have some awesome news! God knows we make mistakes and plenty of ‘em. Even though we fail, God still loves us! And He is willing to forgives failures! And we need to learn to forgive others (no matter how stupid of a thing they do) just as I would have others forgive me.

A young man once went on a ski trip to Colorado. It was his first time on skis. He convinced himself that there was nothing to this skiing thing so he got his skis on and his poles in hand and headed for the lift. Well, he didn’t exactly hit the lift completely graceful. He jumped on the lift and rode all the way to the top of the mountain and told all who could hear, “I’ll see you at the bottom!”

Some of y’all may resemble this guy! Yep, you know the type. A lot like a cowboy that gets on a bull for the first time. He knows he’s not being too smart but he still does it. Why does he do it? Well, because that bull needs ridden! Or how about a feller that would jump out of an airplane with only a big piece of fabric folded up in a pack to slow his fall. Or maybe on a more sensible level: how many of us will grab an electric fence just to see if it is working?

Like that feller Moses, who had to hightail it out of Egypt after killing that Egyptian guard. He ended up over in that dried up region, Midian, for 40 years workin’ with his father-in-law tendin’ sheep! But God wasn’t finished with Moses. Moses knew he had made his fair share of mistakes in his life. He was truly a work in progress

Moses probably thought he had seen the last of Egypt; he had a wife and family there. But God… God had other plans. Yep, even though Moses had killed a man, even though he had fled, God still had a plan. And Moses was steppin’ right in the middle of where God wanted Him to be!

We’ve all done some things wrong, and that’s for sure. But the Boss has given us another chance! You see, He died on that cross for you and for me! We know Christ can use us in His crew, no matter where we’ve been or what we’ve done. So long as we don’t hold back and we turn it all over to the Lord. God will take care of our past and help us focus on our future as we ride for Him! Don’t dwell on your past, but let Jesus put you to work right now. No, you probably won’t get everything right, but He knows you can make a hand. Besides, you don’t want to be a fool forever do you? Follow Christ!

Moses had done some bad things. But God had a plan. Moses tried to tell God that he couldn’t do what God had planned for him. He tried to tell God that he couldn’t speak and he couldn’t lead, but God was in charge of His plan for Moses. God used Moses to return him to Egypt and convince Pharaoh that it was time for the Hebrews to be going to the land God had for them.

God has a plan. Let Him be in charge and you will begin to find out what that plan is! Yep, he really does know the plans He has for us!

Choose Jesus, choose life and let your light shine! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST! And pray for rain!
