Benny Smallwood
As a lifelong resident of Cotton County, I am honored to announce my candidacy for County Commissioner District #2. Having lived in Cotton County all my life, I am deeply invested in the well-being of our community and the success of its residents. As County Commissioner, I will work tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of our district and ensure that Cotton County continues to thrive.
As a graduate of Temple High School, class of 1995, I have been an active member of the Cotton County community throughout my life. My mother, a dedicated educator, served as a teacher and principal in Temple for 28 years, instilling in me a strong commitment to education and community engagement. My late father, Donald Smallwood, a retired Colonel in the Army and local insurance agent, instilled in me the importance of serving others and being a leader in the community.
I plan to focus on key issues such as infrastructure improvement, economic development, community engagement, and fiscal responsibility. With a commitment to integrity and accountability, I want to be a voice for all residents of District #2 and to enact positive change that benefits the entire community
