Funeral Service at Dayspring Community Church, Lawton, OK on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., Justin Evans officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Mona Faye (Dalrymple) Archer was born Monday, December 14, 1936 in Walters, OK to Owen Wayne and Rosa Lena (Phillips) Dalrymple and departed this life in Lawton, OK on January 17, 2024 at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Mona was the oldest daughter and fourth of 15 children. She grew up in the Lawton area, Florida and Cookietown, OK where she graduated from Union Valley High School in 1955. At church in Randlett, she met her future husband, Phillip Wayne Archer and they married in Burkburnett, TX on December 23, 1955. To this union 3 children were born.

With Phillip’s U.S. Army career, the family made their home in Virginia, Texas, Kentucky and Lawton, OK. Then were in Florida from 1989-1995 and then back to Lawton. She and Phillip loved and cared for one another for 66 years and 10 months until his death in October of 2022.

Her passions in life were her love for God and her family. She loved talking to others about the Lord. Her home was a haven for anyone who needed a cup of coffee and a prayer. She and her husband hosted a Bible study, volunteered for a home for unwed mothers, and made their lives about sharing God’s love with anyone that was in need. Mona was a mother to all. She lovingly cared for her children, as well as her younger brothers and sisters. Her heart to care for others also led her and her husband to foster many children throughout the years. Later in life she would continue this by watching over her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mona was an avid reader and especially loved novels with themes that centered around history and her faith in God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; her grandson, Christopher; her parents, Owen and Rosa Dalrymple; 7 siblings, Donald Wayne Dalrymple, Clarence Dalrymple, Arley Dalrymple, Douglas Dalrymple, Rita Mae Pittman, Pat Cooper, and Jessie Allen; 2 sistersin- law, Mayellen Dalrymple and Jessie Dalrymple.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in law, Steve and Debbie Archer of Marlow, OK, Tony and Rebecca Archer of Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Darren Cochrane of Lawton; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; 7 siblings, Mark Dalrymple and Sharon of Marlow, OK, Robert Dalrymple of Rush Springs, OK, Clifton Dalrymple and Janice of Wesley Chapel, FL, Irene Barrow of Tampa, FL, Linda Kay Warkentien and Don of Earlsboro, OK, Michael Dalrymple and Melinda of Lawton, OK, Danny Joe Dalrymple and Patty of Auburndale, FL; 2 sisters-inlaw, Dorothy Dalrymple and Susan Dalrymple; 2 brothersin- law, Chris Pitman and Robert Cooper; and many cousins, nieces, nephews.
