Funeral Services at Cameron Baptist Church, Lawton, OK, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Bruce Humphries and Rev. Mike Teel officiating. Interment in the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple.

Billy Carl Parkey was born to Betty Fern (Martin) and Harold Edward Parkey at Comanche, OK on April 18, 1957 and departed this life in Temple, OK on August 4, 2023 at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Billy grew up north of Temple, farming with his family and attending Temple Schools. He graduated from Temple High School in 1976. Billy married Lucretia McClarty in 1987. They raised their blended family in the home Billy grew up in and continued to farm and raise cattle, wheat and grandkids.

Through the years he enjoyed rodeoing, team roping and later rodeoing with the grandkids to guide and support them. He loved watching the kids play sports.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Parkey; his mother, Betty Solomon; and his brother, Lloyd Parkey.

Billy is survived by his wife, Lucretia Parkey of the home; 2 sons, Scott Burch of Grand Junction, CO and Kendall Goss of Graham, TX; 2 daughters, Kendi Wartley and husband Chris of Cache, OK, and Leslie Rae Snider of Apache, OK; 10 grandkids, Shane Burch, Mikenna Burch, Chett Goss, Wanya Wartley, Christian Wartley, Baylee Glasgow, Marcellas Wartley, Declan Wartley, ShyAnn Snider, Rowdy Snider; his brother and sisters, Floyd, LaDonna and Cathy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
