Mr. Johns is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Johns of the Beaver Creek Community...Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Bass of the Beaver Ridge Community, are parents of a new baby boy.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray, of Walters, are the parents of a son born November 25. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey, of Walters, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ray, of Route 1, Temple...Don Gabriel, General Superintendent for Pickett Brothers Truck Lines, with offices in Walters, was named vice president of Associated Motor Carriers of Oklahoma at a meeting Thursday of last week in Oklahoma City. Previously Earnest Pickett, one of the owners of the Walters firm, served as president of the motor carriers association.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hooper, of Hastings, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, November 18, in the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Lawana and V. E. Trout, in Edmond. Lewis Hooper and Pearl Gillispie were married November 19, 1929, in Waurika. They have made their home southwest of Hastings in the Red Store Community for more than 42 years...A daughter, Michelle Lee, was born November 7, to Jim and Fate Chandler. Paternal grandfather is J. C. Chandler, of Walters. Maternal grandparents are Maria and Beto Crispin, of Rockford, Ill... Mr. and Mrs. Red Davis, of Chickasha, are the parents of a son, Jarod Joseph, born November 2. Maternal grandmother is Mrs. Geneva Bizzell, of Temple. Paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Davis, of Temple...Mike and Doreen Parrack announce the birth of their daughter, Taleigha Sha, on Monday, November 26. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Howell, and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Parrack, all of Walters...Mr. and Mrs. G. O. (Buck) Benson, of Randlett, will be honored with a reception for their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday, December 2, in the Randlett Community Center. Benson and the former Dottie Van Zant were married December 1, 1929, at Waurika.

C. Sellers, who live on Walters Route 4...The First Baptist Church was the setting for the wedding of Miss Berneice Holsted and Freddie C. (Buddy) Gunn, Friday evening, February 21. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Holsted of Mountain View, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gunn of Temple Route 2.
