“She has taken on the role of clarinet section leaderencouraging students to practice, practicing herself, tuning her section, reviewing fingerings, etc. The clarinet students look to her for leadership. Serenity is a great leader”!

Serenity is an upbeat teen, always happy and positive. She has a perpetual greeting for me in the mornings which adds to the positivity in the classroom as well. She is always focused and on track and willingly offers help to others when they need it”. Angela Morris

Blaise Morgan

“Blaise is active in Band, all sports, his church and has a part-time job after school. He is a very polite young man, who is friends with everyone and stays free from the drama that sometimes comes with high school life. Blaise is very level headed”.

Susan Johnson

I am Susan Whitehorse Johnson and wear many hats, here at Walters High School.

I grew up in Elgin, OK and went to school K-12. I went to Oklahoma University and received a BFA and later returned for Masters in Education. I played basketball in college and met my husband ata College Native Basketball Tournament. David Johnson and I have 2 Sons, Eli and Levi and 3 grandsons, Gabriel, Elijah, and Jeremiah. What I love most about working at a school is watching students figure things out. At some point, the realization “I have a lot to learn”, you know, the light bulb goes off and their journey on to the rest of lives has arrived. Besides teaching the Native Studies class, Native American Club Sponsor, I have been a cheer sponsor, MS Secretary, Concession / Extraordinaire. Supporting our school is so rewarding because, with some of the successes, we have a lot of fun in the process. Fight on Walters High!!!
