Walters Chamber of Commerce Annual Ice Cream Freeze Off

The Annual Ice Cream Freeze Off, sponsored by the Walters Chamber of Commerce, was a great success this year. The entries ALL looked delicious!

The 1st Place winner in the Chocolate/Vanilla Category was ELIJAH DELAROSA. The 1st Place winner in the Specialty Category was CHRISTIAN BELCHER. 1st place winner in the Fruit Category was LEZLIE BELCHER. LEZLIE BELCHER's entry also won GRAND CHAMPION.

First Place for each division received $50 cash, and Grand Champion also receives $50 cash, so these participants won a total of $200 cash! After the judges made their decisions, everyone sold their ice cream to the eagerly awaiting crowd.

There was SO MUCH delicious Ice Cream!! The looks on the judges faces were priceless, when they had 33 cups of Ice Cream set in from of them, for judging! A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful judges, Debbie Connely, Gerald Hayes, and Brantley Tillery. One of them stated, "It's a tough job, but SOMEONE has to do it!"

A huge "Thank You" also to Halli Johnston, Aiden Adams, & Kambree Adams for helping set up the Judges' stations, and to Novelynn Spence & Bentley Mathews for helping Chairperson Wendy Zimmerman! Thank you to SONIC DRIVE-IN for supplying the Spoons & Judges cups!
