Jack Stamper replaces Curtis Ellis as new editor of The Herald this week. Ellis, who has been with The Herald since the fall of 1935, went to Anadarko. Stamper is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell has opened law offices in the Neel building, on the second floor...Miss Frances Maier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Maier, became the bride of Aaron Easterwood Saturday, May 22, at Waurika. The groom is the son of Carl Easterwood, all of Ahpeatone...Miss Goldie Tisdale and J. T. Peery were married March 20. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Tisdale, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Peery, all of Ahpeatone...Miss Frances Stephenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Stephenson, and Oliver Plunkett were married April 15 at Chickasha. The groom is the son of H. T. Plunkett, all of Ahpeatone...Theodora Ketels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Ketels of the Hulen community, had the highest scholastic average of the 121 graduates finishing Cameron college in Lawton this spring.

Thomas L. Simpson, of Temple, has been promoted to lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force. Colonel Simpson is assigned to Dyess AFB, Texas, as director of safety. A graduate of Temple high school, he received his M.B.A. degree from Harvard University. The colonel and his wife, the former Ruby L. Coover, of Pond Creek, Okla., have one child, Mike...Walters high school band members chose Charla Cain their drum major for next school term. Majorettes selected were three girls who have served the past two years. They are: Janet Collins, Paula Wynn and Betty Friels...Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dunbar, Walters, have chosen the name Kevin Ray for their son born May 11.
