Mr. Francis Black and Miss Mabel Manke were married in the First Presbyterian church in Enid on Sunday, Feb. 7. Mr. Black is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Black of this county...Joseph C. Meyer, a native of Belford, France, and who had 60 descendants, died at his home in Walters Feb. 14. He was 84 years and two months of age. At the age of 19 he came to the United States, and in 1873 married Caroline Phillips in Lowell, Mass. They had seven children. He married Barbara Brandel in 1895 in Altus, Ark. They had four children. He came to Cotton county in 1902... A movement has been started to consolidate the Geronimo Masonic lodge with the Walters Masonic lodge.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Viola Farley, Burkburnett, and Clifford Farley, of Randlett. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Vermont Shaw, of Walters...Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ray McCammon, Walters, are parents of a son, Michael Ray, born Saturday, Feb. 10. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McCammon, Walters, and Mrs. Evelyn Turner, of Wichita, Kans.

Rev. Brett Dickerson has been appointed to the pastorate of the Walters United Methodist church. Former pastor, Rev. Richard Ayers, has been appointed to the Holdenville church... Sharon Kay Robertson and Loyd William Wiley, Jr. exchanged wedding vows in a ceremony January 30 in the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Graham, at Cache. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Robertson and Mr. and Mrs. Loyd William Wiley, both of Walters...David and Debbie Gammill are the parents of a new baby boy, Joshua Lynn, born February 10. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blankenship and Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Gammill... Mr. and Mrs. Brent McCasland announce the birth of a son, Martin Andrew, born February 5 at Wichita Falls. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don McCasland of Devol.
