A workshop has been constructed on the upper floow of the city hall where all old toys donated by the citizens of Walters are being remodeled. Jerry Cleat Barbe...Dear Santa, I am six years old and my sister says that I have been a good little girl. I want a doll that cries, sleeps and drinks water, a little doll bed and trunk that has clothes in it. And I want a Shirley Temple color book. Nadine McClung... We, the members of the Assembly of God church, wish to express our sincere appreciation to the business people and townspeople of Walters who donated so liberally to the cause of building our new church. Thanks to these donations, we have completed our new church in the south part of town, and are now holding services in it.

Doyal Auto Salvage Yard located 1/2 mile south of Walters on SH 5, will open for business on January 1, according to John M. Doyal, owner... Dowlen, secretary; Curley King, treasurer; Homer Welden, Charlie Moore and Loyd Wiley, directors; and Bill Thorne, immediate past president...Walters Cub Scout pack meeting will be held Monday night in the school lunchroom. New officers for the cub pack include: Ivan Tompkins, chairman; A. B. Thurman, institutional representative; Elmo Avery, secretary- treasurer; Vernon Broberg, awards chairman, John A. Penn, Jr., cubmaster; Bill Durbin, Jr. and Dr. Leon Kidd, assistant cubmasters.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Thomas, of Walters, will be honored with a reception Sunday, December 11, at the Cotton Electric Civic Room, to celebrate their Fiftieth Wedding anniversary. Lester Thomas and Meral Costen were married December 23, 1933, in Walters...Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sheppard were honored at a family dinner on Saturday, November 26, to celebrate their Fiftieth Wedding anniversary. Tom Sheppard and Louise Bible were married in Lawton on November 26, 1933...Members of Temple’s Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Chapter will install officers Sunday, December 11. The Masons will install W. O. Zachry, Worshipful Master; Les Hines, Senior Warden; Andy Ryland, Junior Warden; Eddie Laxson, treasurer; Dan McCoy, secretary; Russell Rylant, trustee, and George Page to complete the unexpired term of the late W. A. Yeilding. Appointive officers are: Senior Deacon, Ray Redden; Junior Deacon, Dennis Tate; Senior Steward, Russell Rylant, Jr.; Junior Steward, Bob McIntyre; and Chaplain, S. M. Witt.
