It was reported here early this week that the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wilkins, instructors in the Essaquanahdale school, would recover from a recent eye injury inflicted when scissors were accidentally stabbed into a portion of the organ. The eye will be kept unexposed to light or use for some time...The dedication of the new Devol high school building will be Friday night, Glenn Dillingham, superintendent, announced this week. The new building, which has just been completed by the WPA, will be open for inspection following the program at the dedication...Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Keely celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a picnic dinner Sunday at Sultan Park. The party gathered enjoyed a three-tiered wedding cake topped with miniature bride and groom...A marriage license was issued to T. L. Jones, 22, and Mary Louise Sullivan, 21, both of Temple.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sanderson, Walters, have chosen the name Karen Dee for their daughter born Saturday, August 24. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Sanderson, all of Waurika...Miss Judy Kathryn Roberts and Richard Lee Landon exchanged wedding vows Friday evening, August 16, in the First Baptist church of Eufaula. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E. Roberts, of Eufaula. They are former long-time Walters residents and Mr. Roberts is a former Walters City Manager. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Landon, of Norman...The clubhouse of Lakeside Park Golf Club of Walters is undergoing extensive repairs and improvements. A permanent foundation 50 feet to the south of the former location was completed this week. The clubhouse was moved onto the new location, a new floor laid, and the north porch area turned into an additional room. Plans are for a patio to be constructed on the east side of the clubhouse.

Ed Eschler and Mildred Rich were married September 2, 1933, at the parsonage of the First Baptist church in Walters... Patricia Eleanor Bullard became the bride of Michael Alec Baber, Wednesday, July 27, in the United Methodist church in Randlett. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beovie Bullard, of Elizabethton, Tenn. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Baber, of Randlett.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Copeland, Temple, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 20 with a family dinner followed by an open house. Married in 1909 at Bennington, Oklahoma, the couple have lived many years in and around Temple.
