Charles Rothwell, Walters 4-H club boy who represented Cotton county at the Wildlife camp for the western half of Oklahoma held this week at Craterville park, won the rifle shoot at the camp. Delegates from the 22 western Oklahoma counties attended the camp, Ira Goodfellow, county agent, stated...Miss Clara Mae Paul, of Cushing, and Mr. J. Mills Daniel, of Walters, were married in Stillwater Saturday evening, August 20. Mr. Daniel is assistant state engineer for the Agricultural adjustment Administration. Best man was Byron G. Daniel, brother of the groom...W. H. Spence went to Oklahoma City last week to visit his small son, Charles Ray, who recently sustained a broken leg when a car backed over him. The boy was reported improved.

Mr. Frank Eversole and Mrs. Robbie Pleasant exchanged wedding vows Saturday, August 10, in the First Baptist church in Walters. The bride was given in marriage by her son, Leroy Pleasant. Mrs. Leora Keeney, Temple, served as matron of honor...Bob Simpson, Temple truck operator and former deputy sheriff, will assume the duties of deputy sheriff once again on September 1. Simpson will succeed Arch McIntyre to the post... Bill F. Fudge, of Walters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fudge, was licensed to preach by members of the First Baptist church Sunday, August 18.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Lindel Glasgow, of Temple, while the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schumpert, of Chattanooga...Robert and Cindy Red Elk announce the birth of a son, Clinton Michael, born July 21. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James E. Bridgers, of Walters. Paternal grandmother is Mrs. Roberta Selby, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
