Back in my younger days, it seemed most everyone acknowledged there was a God, but there were some who chose not to follow Him. I was once acquainted with a feller who was “lost” and he knew it. He knew God was the Creator, and he knew that He sent Jesus to die for our sins and that He arose and ascended to the right hand of the Father. But my friend refused to follow Jesus and ask Him to be Lord of his life. I had to ask why. He told me, “I loved my dad, and if hell was good enough for him then it is good enough for me.” As for as I know, he still feels that way today. I continue to pray for him. I would appreciate it if you would as well. It would appear there are many who say they believe God doesn’t exists. They like to be called atheists. If they don’t believe there is a God, then why do th ey not want us to follow Him?
Others evidently know that God is real, but they don’t want to be reminded of it. They prefer to try to remove God from the public record and public square. They claim separation of church and state, which, by the way, is not even in the Constitution.
I believe we’ve come to a point, here in these United States of America, where some churches are failing to stand on God’s word.
Takin’ a stand doesn’t seem to be a problem if it’s popular, but if others aren’t willing to also stand; then it leaves some to suddenly realize how importance that stand really is. The Word of God is living! It’s alive! It is inspired by the Holy Spirit & it is Truth! Now truth isn’t what I say it is, truth is not what you say it is. Truth is what God says it is.
There are those who say the virgin birth didn’t happen. But I need to tell you that without the virgin born Son of God there is no salvation. Without the cross, without the grave, without the resurrection, without Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Father, without Him coming again on that white horse, salvation is not obtainable. Jesus didn’t come to offer up a compromise. He is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life. There is no other way!
Some will say, “but others have their religion, don’t most of them have a way to heaven?” The answer is, “NO, they do not!”
John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (nasb) But we are living in a time when the church often fails to stand on His word. Many churches are compromising and following the world’s way. It’s a mess! Sin is sin, give it over to the Lord!
But they’re not allowing Jesus to be in control. It’s not just the church; if this country is going to survive, the family must take a stand for God. And the husband should lead his family in things spiritual.
We must put God first in all things and proceed with love just as God is love. God calls us to stand strong for Him. Allow God to lead. Allow the power of the Holy Spirit to be at work in your life, in your family, and in your land. We must be doers of the Word!
There are so many ways we come under attack from Satan, and yet we fail to read and/or follow God’s instruction. Abortion is murder. Marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Sex outside of marriage is sin. The homosexual lifestyle is sin.
God loves us, and He has given us Ten Commandments. That’s a good place to start! That’s why the world is trying so hard to eliminate them from the public eye.
We must put God first! If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. (Luke 9:23, nasb) Don’t sit the fence; follow Christ!
Choose Jesus, choose life! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST!
