Busy, Busy, Busy

I am constantly amazed by just how busy we allow ourselves to become so that it seems as though we have no time for anything. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to accomplish what we think we must do before the end of the day. One reason for this is that we are too impatient and think we must do everything on our list in a short period of time.

Then I remember how busy God must be, yet he still has time for us. We are also reminded about Daniel who took time out of his day to pray at least three times.

Daniel 6: 10 tells us this: “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knew three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”

“Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and the chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel 2: 48.

Let’s consider Daniel for a moment. Here is one of the great rulers in charge of the King’s affairs and of the affairs of the entire government. If anyone is really busy – it’s Daniel! But in spite of all this responsibility, he makes it a point to set himself apart from the world and pray three times a day.

Think about that for a minute. I mean, how busy are we – really? And busy doing what?

So the point I’m trying to make here is this. If we are neglecting to meet personally with God then we are simply missing the boat and doing more than He intended! We need to keep our priorities in order and be a people of prayer. We need to pray for our Churches, each other, our Country, etc. There is must work to be done, but not at the expense of our most important relationship we can have, and that being our relationship with the Lord.

So, when you wake up on Sunday morning and think you have a busy day, a day you have no time to do anything, just remember what Luke 1: 37 says: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Again, You think your Sunday is going to be too busy to accomplish anything, remember this. You have an open invitation to come and join us for Sunday School and Worship service at Calvary Baptist Church. God is still at work in Walters, Oklahoma.
