Just in case y’all haven’t noticed, there is a whole lot of turmoil goin’ on in our country right now! We are in the middle of what is called a pandemic, it has shook us up plenty. And because of a few bad folks, there is racial divide in this land. And there are fascists among us who call themselves anti-fascists. Murdering babies is still goin’ on and some folks are really confused as to who or what they are. And there is an election coming up this year here in the U.S.

As I write this on July the 6th, what has gone wrong? The words from this song explains it well.

People need the Lord, people need the Lord

At the end of broken dreams, He’s the open door

People need the Lord, people need the Lord

When will we realize people need the Lord?

As Christians, we have a job to do. Jesus calls us to go and lead others to Him.

Matt 28:18-20: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (nasb)

Stand with God, Follow Jesus! Remember how God’s chosen people, Israel, fell when they turned away from God? What makes us think the same won’t happen here.

But why aren’t we, as believers, doing our job at home, next door, across this nation, and around the world?

I believe we are entertaining ourselves into oblivion and have relinquished the education of biblical values to a couple hours a week in church if that much, while we spend literally hundreds of hours in an anti-Christian brainwashing society. We are far too comfortable allowing godless government leadership and an anti-Christian media to strip away the foundations that hold us together.

Folks, I’m not gonna whitewash this, I am proud to be an American, but God comes first! I am a Jesus lovin’, Freedom seekin, Bible believin, Gun totin, Flag wavin American. I love this country. I am proud to be an American!

My pride does not stem from any one person, or not even from the military we honor and support, and certainly not from any political figure. My pride, in being an American, stems from our beginnin’s as to where we came from and who we are as a country.

I keep learnin’ more about how this country came into existence and it is becoming obvious that God has us here for a reason. He has a plan. I believe we are to be that light on the hill, but our light as a nation seems to be quickly fading.

The fact that our nation was built, structured from the ground up, on Judeo-Christian principles, is something that hasn’t really been taught outside the church for maybe a hundred years.

You have to go back to the 1800’s when the old Christian based McGuffey Readers were the primary source for education to find teaching that combines Christian values with public education.

Looking back on our founding fathers, did you know they weren’t getting’ anywhere writing the Constitution until 81-year-old Ben Franklin, with a powerful speech, called them to adjourn so they could go pray and fast. This marked a turning point in the writing of the Constitution, and they got ‘er done complete with a Bill of Rights.

2 Chronicles 7:14, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (niv)

Choose Jesus, choose life and let your light shine! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST! And it’s hot and it’s July so pray for rain.
