Boston, will open for business on October 4...Beverly Wampler was crowned Walters High School Football Homecoming Queen last Friday night. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wampler. Her two attendants were Kim Dwyer and Ann Varner. Team captains were Mike Wauqua, Rodney Collins and Ronnie Calfy.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Leath December 27 at a Duncan hospital. He has been named Ricky EuGene. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Dilks. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Rex Leath...A. B. Osborn is recovering from a broken arm sustained when a difference of opinion arose recently. Osborn, acting city marshal, disagreed with three soldiers and in the disagreement sustained a broken arm and other signs of the argument. The soldiers paid medical expenses.
