There’s only one thing more precious than our time and that’s who we spend it on.

Yep, go with God’s plan. I’ve talked about it before, but I need it again! It’s a good thing His ways are not our ways. And when we try to figure out what God is doing, it likely doesn’t make a lot of sense to most of us in the beginning.

I have also noticed that God uses a lot of different folks to accomplish His work, and I’m pretty sure that if it was left up to us; we would not have enlisted many of them. But it’s not up to you or me! For one thing, I’d never use me to preach or even compose these articles. But God knows what He’s doing. And I sure wouldn’t have ever picked that group which included Jewish fishermen, a tax collector, and other common folks to be His 12. I would likely not have used John the Baptist to lead the way for the Son of God, even if he was my cousin. And I reckon I would’ve just left Saul walkin’out there on that Damascus Road. But we aren’t Jesus!

And God used folks like Abraham and Moses and Noah. And He involved Joseph and Mary in His awesome plan! He used those fishermen and a tax collector, common folk, to be His disciples. And yes, He used Saul who became Paul to write most of what we know as the New Testament! Yep, common people for a huge plan!

Have you ever just wanted to ask God the question, “God, are You sure? I mean are You really sure You want to use me?”

“YES, (insert your name here), I AM is sure!” And then, many of us foolishly try to include God in our plan. Newsflash! He doesn’t follow us. Hard concept to grasp, I know.

Miss Winfrey evidently once had a show about women having affairs with married men. She had brought together several people who were currently having an affair to get their comments on how they felt about it. One lady responded very positively, saying that her affair with a married man had been a long-standing affair, & she was very happy in it.

Then someone raised the thought that it just might be morally wrong.

Well, that woman took offense. “Wait a minute,” she said. “I’m a Christian, but I want everyone to know that I don’t let my personal life & my religion interfere with one another.” And then she went on to say, “I believe in a God who wants me to be happy. And if this married man makes me happy, then I know God approves of the relationship.”That kind of thinkin’ definitely doesn’t come from God. She must have one of those new Bible versions without the sin stuff and replaced with a bunch of if it feels good stuff. God won’t ever go against Himself and he won’t! But that kind of thinkin’ isn’t new at all. According to the Bible, it’s been around for a long time. Folks have always wanted a God who would just place His stamp of approval on whatever they were doing so as to not require any changes of lifestyle. Such as: “Living in sin” becomes “a meaningful relationship,” “self-indulgence” is now “self-fulfillment,” and what used to be called”chastity” is now called “a neurotic inhibition,” and “killing babies” is now called “the right to choose” Jesus looked at the Pharisees and Sadducees and called them “hypocrites” & “white-washed tombs.” On the outside they appeared to be pious & prayerful & obedient to God. But inside they were foul, rotten, and dead.

But if God loves me, He will tolerate the things I do. NO, He loves you, but He won’t tolerate sin. Repent!

Choose Jesus, choose life! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST!

And y’all please KEEP PRAYIN’ for RAIN! Amen.
