Absolutely nothing. God gave them. Let us revisit them. Some folks keep having a problem with the Ten Commandments, and they don’t want them displayed in public places. Even so, the Bible is the number one sold book in America, and they are in there! I’ve seen them! And when Charlton Hesston came down off that mountain, he had the originals. Well, not really, Moses did. And he threw them because the people were breaking them all, but God gave him some more, and He made them learn them. I have an English copy on the wall. Anyone can read them. But there’s more to it than that.

When you look at them, it is hard to understand anyone having a problem, unless one is an atheist or somehow has a problem with God. I reckon that’s why “they” don’t want them displayed. They have a problem. They choose to prefer the ways of this world and self.

Just for talkin’ purposes, I have a special cowboy copy I have shared before.

Cowboy Ten Commandments: Then God, The Boss, had this right here to say to His people: 1. Just one God, Love Me only 2. Put nothin’ ahead of God 3. Honor My name, 4. Remember the Lords Day 5. Honor yer Ma and Pa 6. No killin’ 7. Stay true to your better half 8. Don't be takin’ what ain’t yers 9. No lyin’ or gossipin’ 10. Don’t be hankerin for yer buddy’s stuff *from Wes’ un-official cowboy short version If Jesus is Lord, then why is it “we” have trouble choosing to line up with His Commandments? Sadly, too many folks consider these to be the “ten suggestions” or “the ten outdated rules.”

My Bible says that Jesus spoke, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Me.” If we believe this, then we ought to be willing to demonstrate Him in our lives.

Jesus was asked by a Pharisee who happened to be a lawyer: 36 'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?' 37 And He said to him, ''YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' 38 'This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 'The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40 'On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.'

(Matt 22:36-40 nasb) Love God with everything you have. Love your neighbor. Sadly, for some, loving your neighbor is a deal breaker. If you never have asked Jesus to guide your trail, then it’s time to invite Him to be your Boss. Why do you wait? And as believers, we need to get back to the commandments He has given us and follow Him so we can truly live a life that is presentable to God.

Choose Jesus, choose life! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST! And y’all KEEP PRAYIN’ for RAIN! Amen.
