Freshman - CJ Price He received a $10 gift certificate from Macs.

“CJ has really matured this school year and has taken responsibility for his grades. He is being proactive in getting assignments before he is absent and makes sure to turn in work in a timely manner.” Kim Terry

Sophomore - Riley Garison She received a gift certificate from Patman’s. “Riley works hard; she is a super friend. She is not a drama queen!” Debbie Taylor “Riley is a hard worker who is willing to try new things. Anytime I ask her to step up to a new challenge, she exceeds my expectations.” Cassie Berry

Junior - Lily Nease She received a $10 gift certificate from KZ’s and Blue Devil Nutrition.

“Lily is always cheerful and eager to help out in any way needed.” Jimmy Davis “Lily goes out of her way to make the school a better place. She is kind towards new students to make them feel welcomed.” Kim Terry

Senior - Jayden Larimore She received a lunch gift certificate from Sonic. “Jayden is always conscientious about her grades and completing work. Her attendance is much improved this school year.” Kim Terry

Lucky student of the month - Lilly Moreland She received a gift bag from Ms. Jordan. “Lilly is enrolled in Cosmetology at Red River VoTech as a Junior. She works hard at learning all she can from this field of study. She is a happy person and has good attendance.” Nicole Jordan Teacher of the Month -

Chris Gates Mr. Gates received a $10 gift certificate from Tongs. “This is Coach Gates' first year at WHS and he teaches Human Geography, Current Events, and coaches girls JH and HS basketball. He has a son named Rodrick in the 2nd grade. Coach has had a great year with a winning season of 19-6. The HS team has won District Champs, Oilfield Conference Champs, Velma Tournament Runner-Up, Apache Tournament Runner-Up, Regional Runner-Up, Area Qualifier, and Coach Gates received Coach of the Year for the Oil Field Conference. He has done a fantastic job with the girls basketball program and we appreciate all that he has done and will continue to do at WHS.” Nicole Jordan Paraprofessional of the Month -

Charlie Smith She received a gift bag from Ms. Jordan. “Charlie is an amazing teacher and girls assistant basketball coach that always puts the students first. She has a strict discipline in that you work first and play later. Charlie has a passion for children and sports and it is evident in the way that she treats students in both areas. Thank you for being an integral part of the team!” Nicole Jordan
