Ernest F. Hoodenpyle, Jr., was elected manager of Walters Cooperative Elevator Association operation in Walters effective Monday, December 3. His father, Ernest F. Hoodenpyle, Sr., a member of the board, resigned, and has been succeeded by Wesley Scherler. Other members of the board are Bob Mayes, Jim Witt, Loide English and Royce McGee...Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Ray Fletcher, Walters, have chosen the name Amy Beth for their daughter born Wednesday, November 21. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fletcher and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kidd, all of Walters...Mr. and Mrs. Cladie Thomas, Jr., Walters, are the parents of a daughter, Tonya Renee, born Wednesday, November 21. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Cladie Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sylvester, all of Walters.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robison, of Temple, will observe their Golden Wedding anniversary Saturday, December 6, at their home in Temple. Homer Robison and Orbie Ann Reece were married December 3, 1932, in the First Baptist church in Walters...Mr. and Mrs. W. T. (Bill and Beatrice) Mason, formerly of Walters, and now of Rt 2, Springtown, Texas, will be honored with a 50th wedding anniversary reception to be held at the LaJunta Baptist church fellowship hall at Springtown.

Howard Scruggs has purchased the White Auto store in Temple from Buel W. Samuel. Scruggs is recently retired from the army. He and his wife and their four children, formerly lived in Temple while he was stationed at Fort Sill...A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lockett Friday, March 13 in a Duncan hospital. She has been named Vickie. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lockett, Temple. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bus Ernhart, Duncan...In a Saturday ceremony in Altus, Mrs. Ella Belle Remund, Muleshoe, Texas, became the bride of Willis E. Rodolph, Temple.
