Lord, we thank You for the rain received! Some farms and crops are still in need. We will keep praying Your will be done! Amen.

A feller who had been having some pretty big family issues asked me when and if I thought he should start praying.

I asked him, “Well, so are you praying now?” He told me, “No, I haven’t yet, I don’t want to bother God, because I know He is really busy.”

My answer to Him was , “Pray First! Always pray. He is God, He can handle it!”

Pray whether you have a problem or not! When you wake up in the morning.... Pray! When you sit down to read your Bible...Pray! Always pray!

Pray when you have a job….Pray. When you don’t have a job….Pray.

When you are on your way to work…Pray. When you are at work….Pray.

When you are headed to the house for the day….Pray. When you’re ready to sleep….Pray!

Well, who or what should I pray for? Yep, marriage is important, so pray! Pray for your family.

And when you find out about a setback in life...Pray. And pray when things are good!

Now, I’m not saying you always bow your head and close your eyes to pray, but if you do then please stop driving or operating heavy equipment.

But why should I need to pray all the time like that, I’ll manage alright.

Let me be to the point here: If Jesus Christ is your Boss and Savior, and you follow Him then you will desire to stay in constant communication with Him. But if you have never placed Him in charge of your life then it won’t be too helpful to pray.

But why should I need to bother God about my problems? Why? Because He is God! God spoke, and then the world and all life was created. He spoke and Jesus was born of a virgin. He spoke to Abraham and Abe’s faith brought them Isaac in their old age. God told Joshua to shout and the walls of Jericho came tumblin’ down. The little boy had some loaves and fish, Jesus prayed, and the 5000 men and their families were fed. And our first inclination is go buy some bread and fish, but Jesus told them to see what they already had.

Luke 18:1, Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart, I had a guy tell me, “But I don’t get anything out of prayin’!” I asked him how often he prayed.

“Oh, whenever the herd flies apart, sometimes when there’s a bad storm, and other times like when my wife won’t quit naggin’; you know, stuff like k’at.”

Pray first. When we pray we need to do a whole lot more listenin’ than talkin’!!!! It’s supposed to be two-way with us doing the receiving! And before you receive anything from God you must be sincere in your prayer. Pray His will be done. And pray it from the heart! And it’s important we don’t pray so as to be heard by others, but pray in private!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Phil 4:6 nasb) Pray if you are suffering. Pray for the sick. Lift one another up!

God is good! Pray/talk to Him! Choose Jesus, choose life! And find a Bible believin’ church where you “fit in” and know, grow, and follow Christ! Tell others! See y’all at church and keep PRAYIN’ for HIS HARVEST! And y’all KEEP PRAYIN’ for RAIN! Amen.
