A temporary injunction to close the “unlawful portion” of the establishment operated by Mrs. Pearl LeBarre on the highway near Randlett, was made permanent Wednesday. She was permitted to continue operating a filling station and eating place. Dancing was barred by the establishment by the judge...Miss Wilma Baker, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Baker, has purchased the Modern Beauty shop from Tom Christian. She will move the shop to a location in the Oklahoma State bank building...Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Turner are the parents of a daughter born Sunday, Feb. 7...Dr. C. S. Williams and family, formerly of Wellington, Texas, moved to Walters Wednesday and have established residence at 421 S. Broadway. Dr. Williams is a chiropractor and will have his office in his home.

Nomination of William Spencer Flanagan, Walters high school senior, to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, was announced Saturday by Congressman Victor Wickersham. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William W. Flanagan...Pvt. Dorothy J. Smith, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hughes, live in Temple, completed eight weeks of basic military training at The Women’s Army Corps Center, Fort McClellan, Ala., Jan. 26...A-1c and Mrs. Curtis Bright, Tuscon, Ariz., have chosen the name Terry Wayne for their son born January 27. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Bright and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Meredith, all of Walters...Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Womack, Lawton, announce the birth of a daughter, Lisa Marie, on Feb. 5. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Durbin, Walters, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Womack, Temple...Mr. and Mrs. Carl Foster, owners of a grocery store in Devol, purchased the McCasland Filling station, owned and operated by Mrs. Ethel McCasland. Mrs. McCasland has established her office in the building formerly known as Keithley’s Barber shop. This will also be used as the bus station. It is located next door to the post office.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Potts and Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Ballard, all of Walters... Wedding vows were read at Christ United Presbyterian church in Wichita Falls on November 14 for Linda Gaye Coburn and Creech David Richardson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Coburn of Wichita Falls. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Richardson of Temple.
