Division 4 racer, Victor Penrod, became the Super Stock World Champion when he cinched the Super Stock title on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, California. There were over 800 entries to try for the Championship, which was the last race of the year to earn points for the victory. Victor was awarded his trophy and cash the next day at the awards ceremony.

Victor’s wins include: Route 66 Nationals in Chicago, Illinois, AAA NHR Texas Fall Nationals in Dallas, Texas, LODRS Race at Heartland Raceway in Topeka, Kansas, Runner up Menards NHRA Nationals.

Victor’s biggest supporters are his grandson, Copen, his wife, Shelly, his daughter and son in law, Carlee and Justin, as well as his son Logan.

Since 1998, Victor has been chasing the world championship in Super Stock and has battled many races to get there. He has been involved with racing alongside his dad, Donnie Penrod, since 1972, but when he was 16 years old, in 1985, he decided to get in the race car and make history for himself. Since his dad’s passing, Victor knows his dad is very proudly looking down on him and knows without God, none of this would be possible. Victor keeps in his heart, Proverbs 3:5-“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and not on your own understanding.” Victor’s son, Logan has been able to make every race this season along with his dad, carrying on a family tradition.
