T. J. Kerr will open the new Walters Auto store next Thursday in the building at 120 N. Broadway formerly occupied by the Walters Auto Supply store. Homer Childs and Curtis Reed, former owners, went out of business last week. Kerr has operated an auto supply store at Burkburnett for the past five months, was formerly employed at Temple in the B and O store hardware department..A daughter was born February 15 in Oklahoma City to Mr. and Mrs. Everett Priddy...A son, Warren Lee, was born Monday to Mr. and Mrs. I. L. (Curly) Jenkins.

Finchum, of Walters, and is stationed at Keesler AFB, Miss...Lana Allen, of Walters, was named best actress in the Southern Five conference play festival at Marlow Thursday of last week. Miss Allen played the part of an 80-year old grandmother in the Walters high school presentation, “Gray Beard.”
