Cache Valley Lodge No. 530 in Walters installed new officers Monday night in the Masonic Temple. Appointive officers installed were: Duane Doty, senior deacon; William Ricketts, junior deacon; Ronnie Martin, senior steward; Leroy Davis, junior steward; Eddie Phillips, tiler...Miss Donna Kay Fernberg and Gary Robert Kinder exchanged wedding vows Saturday night, December 7, in the Little Chapel of First Baptist church in Lawton. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Fernberg, of Lawton, and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James William Kinder, of near Randlett.

Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Wampler will celebrate their Fiftieth Wedding anniversary with a reception in the Cotton Electric Civic Room Sunday, December 18. Jessie Wampler and Katie Viola Smith were married December 16, 1933, in Walters... Miss Kim Nanette Lamirand and Michael Brett Blizzard solemnized wedding vows November 7 in the Checotah Assembly of God church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levoy Lamirand, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Blizzard, all of Checotah...A daughter, Elizabeth Louise was born Sunday, November 27, to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cuvelier, of Houston, Texas. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Duane Martin, of Walters. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dugan and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hooker, all of Walters.

Miss Jimmie Whiteley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Douglass, was named as the local American Legion Auxiliary’s girls state selection...Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Brown will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with an open house, Sunday, April 10, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Theodore Jones, two miles south and four east of Temple.
