Ray Doty, of Devol, received serious burns about the face and body in a freak accident when the hose of a fertilizer tank came loose spraying ammonia on him. He is being treated in the Bethania Hospital at Wichita Falls...A sudden wind, rain and electrical storm struck Temple and surrounding areas Monday near 10:00 p.m. Building contractors for constructing the new Bone Cotton Gin place their loss at $10,000. Several businesses, including Bill Cofer Cement Ready Mix, the APCO service station and Wickham-Young Chevrolet, sustained damage...A marriage license was issued to William H. Lewis, 18, of Burkburnett, and Brenda J. Denny, 17, of Randlett...Temple public school bus drivers for this year are Carl Williams, Jim Parrish, Wiley Littles and Mark Emkin. Clyde McClenny and David Rodolph have purchased the real etate, farm loan and insurance business which was a part of the estate of the late L. E. Bowen, the transaction having been closed last Friday. Mr. Rodolph has been in the employ of the Continental Oil Co. at Ponca City and Mr. McClenny is employed at Richardson Motors...Edwin W. Rumbaugh, who was stationed in Japan the past thirteen months, is now home on terminal leave and will be honorably discharged from the service in December...Mrs. C. C. Sparks had an operation for the removal of a kidney at the Wichita Falls hospital Friday, and was reported yesterday to be getting along nicely.
