It is time once again for the Walters Round-Up Club Rodeo, July 19, 20, 21, 2018 and the Comanche Homecoming July 20, 21, and 22, 2018. The parade will be held on Thursday, July 19th at 5:00p.m.
The Chamber wants to invite you to join in the fun and enter in the parade. We would like to have as many individuals, riders, clubs, organizations and floats as possible to help kick off the Rodeo Parade and Comanche Homecoming.
The schedule goes like this:
Rodeo Parade line-up is 4:00 p.m.,Thursday, July 19th at Broadway and Nevada Streets for all entries except the Riding Clubs -
Riding Clubs are to line- up at the Railroad Depot at Nevada and 6th Street. Parade starts at 5:00p.m. The Rodeo will start at 8:00 p.m. nightly.
The Walters Round-Up Club will judge the Riding Clubs. 1st Place will receive $100.00 and will set the divots at the Rodeo; 2nd Place will receive $75.00 and 3rd Place will receive $50.00. The Walters Round-Up Club will also be giving prizes for the Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl at the parade: 1st place - $25; 2nd place - $15 and 3rd place - $10. Walters Chamber of Commerce will be judging Floats and Non-Float: Cash prizes for Best Float and Non-Float; Best Dressed Indian Boy and Girl: Cash prizes will be awarded. Judging will begin at 4:00p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Nevada Streets.
