Southeast (partial)

Eufaula: January 24. Elevation above normal, water murky. For current elevation conditions go to the US Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/EUFA.lakepage.html. Blue catfish fair on live bait, live shad, shad, slabs, and worms around rocks, sand bar, shallows, and shorelines. Crappie good on jigs and minnows around docks and main lake. Striped bass fair on jigs, live bait, and top water below and around the dam. Report submitted by Cannon Harrison, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.  

Texoma: January 24. Elevation above normal, water

49. For current elevation conditions go to the US Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/DENI.lakepage.html. Striped bass fair on flukes, live shad, plastics, and sassy shad below the dam, and around main lake and river channel. Blue catfish good on cut bait and shad below the dam, and around flats, main lake, and river channel. Lake Fishing has been hit or miss for striper. Methods have been varying from plastics to live bait depending on the day. Anglers should focus on ledges and transitions. Jug line fishing for blues has been a very productive method of harvesting large blue cat, anglers should look for 40-50 ft. of water and bait with fresh caught shad. Southwest

Waurika: January 27. Elevation normal, water mid 40s and cloudy. For current elevation conditions go to the US Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swtwc.usace.army.mil/WAUR.lakepage.html. Blue and channel catfish excellent on cut bait around main lake and shorelines. Crappie fair on minnows around rocks. Crappie on the docks have been hard to come by. It seems people are having more success along the rocks. Catfish have been excellent on cut bait in 12-15 ft. Report submitted by Matt Farris, game warden stationed in Jefferson County.
