Memorial Services for Shirley Kelley, 76, Walters, OK will be at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, December 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Roger Noland Officiating.

Shirley Marie (Ray) Kelley was born to Loyd Devon and Elzy Etoy (Essary) Ray on December 6, 1943 in Dallas, TX and departed this life in Walters, OK on November 30, 2019 at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 24 days.

Shirley grew up in the Springtown, Azle, Fort Worth area of Texas. She married Thomas Eddie Steele on August 15, 1958 and to the union 3 daughters were born. They made their home in Springtown, TX, and she worked at Justin Boots in Fort Worth. She and the girls eventually moved to Walters in January of 1982 and Shirley went to work at Haggar’s in Temple. She later went to school receiving her cosmetology license and began doing hair. She moved to Arkansas for a time working for Rockline Industries but returned to Walters, working for Comanche Red River Casino.

Shirley enjoyed spoiling her grandsons and getting to see her great grandson. She loved horses, doing hair and working in general. She loved spending time with best friend Shirley Dahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Tammy Steele; an infant brother, Leroy Ray; a brother Merlin Ray; and sisters, Geneva Green and Wanda Lee.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Pam Tolliver and Jerry of Walters, Regina Wahnee and Bruce Finney also of Walters; a sister, Deanna Walles of Granbury, TX; 5 grandsons, Robert Marez, IV, Brendan Marez, Sebastian Wahnee, Shane Tolliver and Philecia Gatlin, and Colton Tolliver; a great grandson, Gatlin Gage Tolliver; other relatives and many friends.
