Selena Dunn, 33 Walters, OK

Memorial Service at First Baptist Church, Walters, OK on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Kent Simpson Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Family is respectfully asking that masks be worn and social distancing practiced.

Selena Louise Dunn Lawler was born April 16, 1987 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on January 27, 2021 at the age of 33 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Coming from Lawton, Selena grew up in Walters where she attended Walters Jr. and Sr. High Schools, graduating from WHS in 2005. She then attended Red River Cosmetology School. She married Jake Lawler on March 25, 2008 in Lawton and to the union a daughter, Austyn Grace, was born.

Selena worked at Red River Casino for several years and did haircuts on the side. She enjoyed being silly and making people laugh. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, and drawing.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerrel and Cecilia Griggs, Kenneth and Dixie Dunn, Eileen Collins, and Red Baggett (Old Dad).

Survivors include her beloved daughter, Austyn Grace Lawler and Austyn’s father, Jake Lawler of Walters, OK; her mother Joan Vaughn Griggs and step-dad, Bob Vaughn of Lawton, OK; her father Larry Dunn and step-mom, Sherry Dunn of Elgin, OK; her step-dad, Russell Doake of Walters; 2 sisters and a brother-in-Law, Hollie Noel Dunn of Walters and Selena’s twin Cicely Moiser and husband Matt of Walters; a brother, Ryder Vaughn of Lawton; 2 step-sisters, Jerri Thomas and Leah Laurenzana both of Fletcher; 2 step-brothers, David Dunn of Lawton and Sam Dunn of Monahans, TX; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Donations can be made at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will end with a balloon release so feel free to bring balloons if so desire.
