Sandy Halbrooks

Sandra Elizabeth (Lake) Halbrooks left her earthly body July 29, 2020 in Lawton, OK at the age of 72. Sandy was born on March 21, 1948 in Houston, TX to Howard and Betty (Dancer) Lake. She grew up in the Houston, TX area before moving to Oklahoma as an adult.

Sandy married Raymond Lee Halbrooks in the early 1980s. She worked a variety of jobs from new construction cleaning, insurance sales, and finally retiring as a special-needs caregiver and life coach. Sandy was always working. She LOVED to work! She enjoyed visiting family and friends, good food, and she loved her Lord with all her heart.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee and both her parents. She is survived by two brothers, Bobby Lake of Houston TX and Don Wilcox of Humble, TX; a son, Mark Stong of Houston, TX and many friends and extended family that will miss her smile, sense of humor and laugh.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Open Door Church of God, 221 E. Arlington St., Walters, OK 73572 with Pastor Roger Noland officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the General Fund at Open Door Church of God.
