Funeral Services for Reda Johnson, 68, Walters, OK were held at First Baptist Church, Walters, Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Jack Jacob officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Reda Belle (Davis) Johnson was born to Leeander Pontius and Lillie Mae (Lowery) Davis on September 14, 1951 in Lamesa, TX and departed this life in Lawton, OK on January

1, 2020 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 18 days.

Reda grew up in south of Corum, OK. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1969 and then attended Cameron College for a time. 45 years ago, on December 1, 1974, she went to work for Civil Service at Fort Sill and was still actively employed as an administrative assistant.

She has made Walters her home since the mid 1970’s where she has been an active member of First Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and serving in countless other capacities through the years. Reda enjoyed traveling to visit family, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herman Leeander Davis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George and Rebecca Johnson of Walters; her brother, James Davis and wife Megan of Sterling, VA; her sister, Freda Shackelford of Locust, NC; 10 grandchildren, Ruth, Hannah, Adam, Mary, Caleb, Luke, Abigail, Leah, Julia, and Susanna Johnson all of Walters; other relatives and friends.
