Funeral services for Pauline Frances High, 92, were held Tuesday morning, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Centennial Chapel ofHarveyDouglas Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy May and Mr. Mark Wiley officiating. Interment was at the Walters Cemetery, in Walters, Oklahoma at 2:30 p.m.
A time of visitation and support for the family was held Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 till 7:00 p.m.
The daughter of the late Clyde Hubert and Irene Sanders Uselton, Pauline was born July 4, 1927 at Burkburnett, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2020 surrounded by her family.
She married Charles Walter “Charley” High on January 24, 1946 in Walters, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death September 15, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her son Clyde High and daughter Donna Goode both in 2018 and a brother Buddy Uselton. Pauline provided care for her cousin, J.M. Dunn, Jr. for more than 20 years and he also preceded her in death in 2016.
Pauline worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide for Memorial Hospital. After retirement, she continued to provide support to her family and friends. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Pauline is survived by her daughter-in-law, Debbie High; son-in-law Jerry Goode; grandchildren, Jay (Melanie) High; Averie (Jeremy) Nelson; Michelle Goode (Stacey); and Melissa Goode. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Christopher and Dylan High; Ellie and Emmalynn Nelson; Devin Tadlock and Delaney Goode, her sister-in-law Josephine Damron and a host of nieces and nephews.
