Funeral Services for Henry Palmer, 87, Walters, OK were held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. John Carlisle officiating. Burial in the Walters with Military Honors.

Henry Lynn Palmer was born to Jeff Purl and Lelah Ann (Logsdon) Palmer on August 29, 1931 at Grandfield, OK and departed this life in Marlow, Ok on July 26, 2019 at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 27 days.

Henry grew at Grandfield. He joined the United States Marine Corps in December of 1951 and was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps Reserves in December of 1959. Following the completion of his regular Marine Corps service, Henry did welding for Lockheed Martin and then Super Weld Corporation in California. He married Floy Juanita “Wanda” Tabbytosavit Brown on July 21, 1958. They made their home in California until moving to Walters in 1971.

He worked at the Aviall plant in Frederick for a time, then worked in Wichita Falls at B&W and later Washex doing stainless steel welding for 25 years. Henry was an OU fan, he enjoyed doing woodworking, visiting with people and spending time with the grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wanda; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; and a granddaughter, Letti Smith

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Crystal Palmer; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Al Smith of Walters, Kay McDonald and Shirley Keller both of Ft. Worth; his sister, Freda Duncan of Little Rock, AR; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Jordan Leighann, Colby, Sissy, Cookie and Alfred Lynn; a great granddaughter, Maylee Ann Keck; numerous other great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
