Daniel Aurell “Dan” Lindsey was born to Farris Dell and Mary Arlene (Langford) Lindsey on March 22, 1964 in Oklahoma City and departed this life in Walters, OK on September 28, 2020 at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 6 days.

Dan grew up Oklahoma City, graduating from U. S. Grant High School in 1982. While in high school he worked at Buchanan’s Grocery Store in OKC and was also involved in farming and ranching with his family, as well as going on wheat harvest for several years with various custom harvesters. He served his country in the United States Navy. Dan moved to Walters along with his family around 1984 and attended Cameron University. Through the years he has worked at Sam’s, Goodyear, and United Supermarkets in Frederick, Altus and Lawton.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Walters. He enjoyed watching TV, especially OU and Dallas Cowboy Football, and loved Star Wars. He was willing to try to fix things and loved doing things with his nieces.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Mary Lindsey.

Survivors include 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael and Tracy Lindsey of Walters, and John Lindsey of Elgin; his 5 nieces, Jacie, Jenna, Lexie, Avery and Adley Lindsey; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
