On December 1, 2020, the newly formed Young Patriots of Cotton County, (YPCC) sent in their official registration to join the National Organization of Teenage Republicans (TARS). These Young men are serious advocates for the Republican Party and conservitive values.
They will be learning about Constitutional Government and will be boots on the ground here in Cotton County assisting their candidates in getting elected. Their involvement will be taking them to other Oklahoma counties during elections and trips to the State Capital to assist their elected officials and voice their concerns for their county.
They will also be working under the umbrella of the Oklahoma College Republicans in which they will be able to attend events throughout the country and wherever t h e y a r e n e e d e d to help in getting true conservitives elected. Jonathon Hernandez of the Oklahoma College Republicans and who a t t e n d s c o l l e g e i n Edmond, has agreed to be their advisor and help oversee their activities and assist them in any way possible.
Politics is not the only thing the group will focus on. Organizing food drives, helping local charities and volunteering in their community are just a few ways the Young Patriots will be giving back.
T h e y w i l l a l s o b e receiving support and guidence from the Cotton County Republican Party, who are letting them use their headquarters for meetings and for future fundraisers the organization will have.
This group has every reason to be proud as they are making history. This is the first Teenage Republican chapter in Cotton County, and is also the only active chapter in the state of Oklahoma. They are looking for other youth in the Cotton County area to join them.
