Walters Public Schools would like to thank Comanche Nation and all the people involved, especially Bonnie Gorley, in making our newly paved streets and parking lots possible. Comanche Nation made the decision to pave the roads public in December of 2019 and was able to start the process earlier this year. Teachers and students are so appreciative and we wanted to thank them in a special way on the first day of school. John Anderson came out on the first day of school with his drone to take an aerial picture of the students and the sign that the Student Council made for this event.

“The new roads around the school are just awesome! It is amazing how much difference it makes!!! We no longer have to park in potholes and on uneven pavement. We are very appreciative of the tribe for the new roads! Thank you, again!!” Kristi Graham

“The road and parking lot improvements not only make the school look amazing but also create a sense of pride in our school and community. So very nice to come to work every day, knowing I am not going to twist an ankle or fall over potholes in the parking lot. Thanks so much.” Candra Marlett

“We are incredibly grateful to Comanche Nation for paving the roads and parking lots around Walters Public Schools. Everything looks so nice and it is such a pleasure to simply drive around our campus now! You can’t imagine what a blessing it is to have a paved parking lot. I love that we no longer have gravel and huge potholes to navigate when we transition from middle to high school. This is such a benefit to our special needs students who might be in a wheelchair, injured students on crutches, or us older folks! Thank you again for your generosity and kindness”. Staci Johnson
