Walters Public School Poetry Out Loud and Cheer News

Congratulations to Sunny Watters, WHS Junior, who won the WHS Poetry Out Loud competition Jan. 29. The runner-up was Makailae Scates, WHS Sophomore. Both received a monetary award, and Sunny will compete at the state competition in Edmond on March 3rd.

Congratulations to WPS Students: Hadlee Smith & Aaliyah Villarreal, both Freshmen and Piper Berry & Chrissie Lonelodge, both 1st graders!! These girls completed with their cheer teams from Xtreme Thunder Cheer at the American Spirit Championships, in Tulsa on February 1-2, and won National Champs in their respective divisions! Way to go girls!!
