A big thank you goes to Mason Wayman and Joleen Anderson (with the help of Todd Pyle) for going around downtown Walters and picking up the trash and candy that was left.

Kynlee Edgmon remained Rodeo Queen. Due the COVID-19 the Round-Up Club thought it best to not have young ones out selling tickets this year. An Empty Saddle Presentation was held for Richard Crow. Richard was born between Walters and Geronimo on April 19, 1942. He passed March 1, 2020 at the age of 77 years old. He was married to Mary Crow. They lived east of Geronimo and have 3 children. Richard grew up learning the body shop business from his Grandpa. He had Crows Body Shop for many years. It was passed down to one of his sons and grandson. This cowboy loved to trade horses, going to horse sales, he had many friends that he loved getting to see everyone at the horse sale and going to rodeos. He looked forward to going to Leo and Kens coffee shop with his friends and shoot the bull. Richard was a member ofWalters Round-Up Club, along with The Lawton Rangers.

The most outstanding volunteer for Walters RoundUp Club is Stan Rice. Stan has been a member of the Walters round-Up Club for 25 years. You may not see him much during the rodeo because for the past several years he has been in the club house making that sweet delicious cotton candy and working the concessions. Stan is always willing to help the club out here killing fire ants, knocking down wasps nest and cleaning up for the rodeo. President Tony Teakell says, “Stan always goes above and beyond and gives everything he does 110%”. Stan is a veteran who served our country in the United States Air Force. Thank you Stan for your Service. The Walters Round-Up Club gave Stan a gift card to Crutchers Western Wear and thank you for all you do.

Walters Round-Up Club officers are: President Tony Teakell, Vice-President Casey Glenn, Secretary/Treasurer & Queen Contest Coordinator Fredia Rice, Reporter Merlene Tugman; Board of Directors: Kenny Glenn, Mike Teakell, Mike Tugman, Cody Teakell; Parade Marshal Candice Weir and Deb Thorn.
