Oklahoma seventh grade students have the opportunity to experience a science, technology, engineering, arts/ humanities and mathematics (STEAM) camp this summer at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Teacher nominations for 50 camp slots are now being accepted until January 28.

This is the third year of the Southwest Alliance for Girls’ Enrichment in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/ Humanities and Mathematics (SAGE STEAM) Camp, planned June 7-13.

Teachers can find the nomination form and additional information at https:// www.swosu.edu/academics/sage-steam-camp/camperinformation.aspx

According to Dr. Lisa Appeddu, who is camp director, the students do not have to be the top students in their grade; instead, the camp is geared toward studentsespecially females—who may have limited access to STEAM-related activities and may truly benefit from this experience.
