OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 15 2021 – Solar Power of Oklahoma (SPO) has launched Solar for Students, a fundraising program supporting Oklahoma schools and extracurricular programs. Available now through May 31, 2021, designated schools, athletic teams and extracurricular programs may receive $50 for each completed appointment with a solar advisor.

Solar Power of Oklahoma’s zero-pressure consultations last approximately 45 minutes and focus on answering questions and assessing eligibility for solar energy. For appointments resulting in the purchase of a solar energy system, the designated school or program will receive $500.

To be eligible for a solar consultation, participants must be homeowners and customers of a utility company that allows solar generation. Those who are ineligible for solar energy options can still participate by sharing Solar for Students with friends and family who are eligible and wish to complete a consultation benefiting a specified program.

“As a father of three students and husband to a public school teacher, I’ve seen the difficulties Oklahoma families have faced over the last year,” said J.W. Peters, co-owner of Solar Power of Oklahoma, “Solar for Students combines our desire to give back with our passion for sharing solar energy options with more Oklahomans.”
