Two women were in a Duncan hospital and two released after treatment following explosion of dynamite caps in a WPA sewing room at Randlett Wednesday morning. Mrs. Lillie R. Bates, sewing room supervisor and Mrs. Allen Green, sewing room employee are in the hospital after having pieces of the shells removed from their faces, necks and legs. Mrs. Edna Turner and Mrs. Eula Blair, two relief clients, were taken to Duncan for treatment and released. The dynamite caps had been raked from the shelf in an adjoining portion of the posto ice and had been swept up and placed in the stove. The women were standing close to the stove when the explosion occurred...At a mass meeting Thursday afternoon the people of Walters voted to accept the government’s o er to build a city dam to impound water for a municipal water supply. Dave Boyer, Walters abstract man, has been representative for the city of Walters in contacting the federal government in regard to the lake...Miss Nilsson Smith and Verne Thompson were married Saturday evening in the home of Rev. Ivan Dugan. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Smith. The groom is the grandson of A. M. Thompson, Sr., and the late Mrs. Thompson with whom he has made his home the greater part of his life.
