A new charter has been issued to the Cache Valley A.F.&A.M. Lodge of Walters and the lodge was officially dedicated here recently when Joseph Druott of Tulsa, Grandmaster of the State Lodge, was the principal speaker. While the Masonic Lodge has been active in Walters for years, the charter of the old organization had expired and it was necessary to secure a new charter. The new officers are Rev. Joe W. Trevette, Worshipful Master, Vern C. Campbell, Senior Warden, W. S. Thompson, Junior Warden, and Frank Granot, Secretary...Mr. and Mrs. Louis Marsh of the Plainview Community, are the parents of a boy born March 23...Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Simms of the Pecan Grove Community, are the parents of a little daughter born March 25. She has been named Virginia...Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Sellers of the Beaver Ridge Community are the parents of a baby boy. He was named Jimmie Joe.

Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Adams had an unpleasant experience Friday when their little two year old son, Mikel, ran away from home and was gone over three hours. A neighbor, Mr. B. Thurman, Superintendent of schools, said the king-size storm shelter which was constructed for the benefit of the community in general and for the school students in particular, has been completed, and is ready for use. Lights have been connected in the cellar and the doors are being completed for easy use in emergencies...Walter W. Mounts, who came out of law school to take an appointment as County Judge in 1956 and a year later switched over to county attorney to fill a vacancy, will terminate his present duties April 30. He will become associated with an Oklahoma City church as business manager.
