The year 2020 is finally over! A year ago, we could never have predicted what the next 12 months would look like: never-ending Zoom calls, social distancing, fights about face mask mandates, and not to mention the crazy election cycle (that is at least over in Oklahoma). While all of us were adjusting to our new “normal”, the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy continued to work relentlessly for the future of Oklahoma’s children, and we have a big agenda for 2021, starting with our brand-new training on the state legislative process.

Today, I am inviting you to join us for our brand-new Legislative Learning Lab, happening in just three short weeks.

Over this four-day virtual conference, you and fellow advocates will learn about the legislative process, the specific nuances of how the Oklahoma House of Representatives and Senate operate, and how you can be an effective voice to encourage change for Oklahoma’s children and families.

The Legislative Learning Lab will be held Wednesday, January 27th – Friday, January 29th from 9 AM – 12 PM each day and the final day, Monday, February 1st from 9:45 AM until approximately 2:30 PM. You can find a detailed agenda and purchase tickets here.

If you or your organization would like to be a sponsor for this event, you can sign up here.

I hope that we can count on your attendance and support during this important event as we kick off the 2021 legislative session and our fight for better policies in Oklahoma.
