Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after he was named a Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Awarded every Congress, the recognition is given to legislators who vote in favor of key policies and priorities for small businesses. During his service in the U.S. House of Representatives, Cole has received the award every Congress.

“I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business Award for my longstanding and unwavering commitment to small businesses, which employ millions of Americans. While this has been a difficult year for everyone, small business owners and their dedicated workers have been some of the hardest hit by the wrath of the coronavirus pandemic. As our nation navigates the remaining challenges and works to recover and rebuild our economy, one of the best things we can do is help our small business job creators survive these difficult times. Our nation’s prosperity depends on their existence. In the days ahead, I will continue stand with small businesses.”
