A new welcome sign was installed 2 miles west of Walters on Highway 5, compliments of the Rotary Club. The sign acknowledges Walters as the headquarters of Cotton Electric Cooperative, the sign also displays the Rotary Wheel emblem as well as the Cache Valley Masonic Lodge.

Two long standing Annual events, the Walters rodeo and the Comanche Nation Homecoming were new additions. Both have earned a place by being a part of the community for the last 60 years.

The original sign was a Lions Club project in the early 80’s and served the community well, but time had taken its toll on the appearance. Plans are to refurbish it and place it south of the city.

Rotary is the lone surviving civic club existing in Walters today. Established in 1922, the Walters Club is the oldest rotary Club in existence in a community of under 5000 population.
