Pastor Roger Snow began his tenure as pastor on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church. Roger and his wife Sue have served in a variety of positions at Westwood Baptist Church in Lawton. Roger was the Interim Pastor at Faith Journey (Baptist) in Lawton from April 2018 until October 2018. He has also supplied for various churches for the Comanche Cotton County Baptist Association since 2014.

Roger and Sue both grew up in Valdosta, Georgia, and attended the same high school. They were high school sweethearts and were married in 1969. After high school Roger entered the U.S. Army where he served 21 years and retired in December 1990.

He then started his own lawn and landscape service and attended college and received a degree in Criminal Justice in 1996 from Cameron University. Sue has worked for Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton as a CDM for the last 30 years.

Bro. Snow stated, “I would like this to serve as my introduction to the citizens of Walters and the surrounding area and also as an invitation for you to attend our church worship with us. We are a Southern Baptist congregation, and we strive to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are a loving church and all are welcome to come and worship with this church family. Our service schedule is Sunday School at 9:45 am with the morning worship beginning at 11 am. Our Wednesday prayer meeting is at 6:30 pm. We would welcome you to any of our services and would encourage you to contact the church if there are any spiritual needs we might meet. I would like to be available to the community to assist in any of the spiritual needs of the people of Walters.”

He also expressed appreciation to Calvary Baptist Church for the kindness and warm welcome extended to him and his wife from the first day he preached at Calvary in November 2018.
