RANDLETT, Okla. — Big Pasture FFA’s Agricultural Communications Career Development Event team placed first at the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Interscholastics in Goodwell, Oklahoma, on Nov. 5, 2019.

Team members include Alexis Berry, Taylor Gebhart, Caleb Robinson and Miya White.

Berry said she was thrilled to attend her first interscholastics contest.

“I was really excited for it and it went well,” Berry said. “We placed first and I cannot wait to attend more.” Individually, Robinson placed first, White placed second, Gebhart placed third and Berry placed eighth. “I’ve been trying to win this thing for a year and it feels pretty great to finally place first,” Robinson said.

The contest consisted of an editing exercise and communications exam. Big Pasture FFA plans to attend more contests throughout the year. The next agricultural communications interscholastic contest is scheduled for Jan. 22, 2020, at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

“I believe we can win most interscholastics, and we have a good shot at winning state,” White said.
